Nursery Hours

Welcome to our Nursery

Our Nursery Class has the capacity for thirty 3-5 year old children in the morning session and thirty 3-5 year old children in the afternoon session.
We have one playroom which is divided into 3 main areas, these being, the snack area, a carpeted area which includes role play area, story corner, block play, loose parts and a writing area. There is a 'messy' area which includes junk modelling, water/sand play, play dough, technology and art easels. We also have a secure outdoor area which is an extension of the indoor area and is a safe area with soft flooring where children can develop their large motor skills, build dens and care for plants in the garden.
We use many areas within the school and frequently plan and implement joint learning with the Primary 1 children using Curriculum for Excellence at Early Level.

 Parent/Carers Survey
We aim to continue to improve the service that we offer to children and families and we would be grateful if you could complete the short surveys below on the quality of the nursery environment.
Survey 1.
Survey 2.

Is your child singing a song at home but you are unsure of the words? Families, Bookbug Session leaders, and Early Years practitioners all told us that they can’t always remember the tune, words or actions to songs. We thought short videos would be a great support to everyone who enjoyed singing with children, so with the help of families and nursery groups across Scotland, the Song and Rhyme Library was created.
